“Yeah, about the moon,” Mark says from the front of the ship. “In 1783 and 1787, huge bright lights were reported on the moon. Mistakenly reported as volcanoes, they then lit up the dark side of the moon. This was the start of the Gray’s base there, or more aptly, the Reptilian off-world presence through the Grays.”

“And they keep comin’,” Bennewitz says. “In February 1894, a comet was photographed striking a large dark object in our solar system. It happened to have wings, and according to the Andromedans, this was a Draconian mothership. The same type of incidents happened in the vicinity of Mars on November 25, 1894, when a large ship was seen illuminating part of Mars. It was the same thing that’d happened with Mercury in 1789 and then the Sun in 1859. This same body sits out there today and has been dubbed Vulcan. In reality it’s a large mothership.”

“But we’re not alone, and not without friends,” Mark says. “During the total eclipse of July 29, 1878, astronomers saw two large planetary bodies the size of Venus between Mercury and Venus. According to the Andromedans, these bodies were Pleiadian and Andromedan motherships that had traveled back in time and were observing the Grays, who were at the time orbiting around the Sun.”

“And that was a hundred years ago,” Bennewitz says. “They’ve been coming more and more since then. The same phenomena occurred on April 4, 1892, and that Draconian ship was about one third the size of the moon, about 700 miles in diameter, and it had wings. Another Draconian mothership was observed on January 27, 1912. It was 250 miles in length and 50 miles wide and resembled a crow. It was sitting on the moon, docking at the base and… well, what the hell are they doin’ there, Mark?”

“God only knows,” Mark says, shaking his head, “and all we can do is pity the poor souls that wound up there, souls that we sent.”

“Whoa… wait a minute!” Heather says. “You’re telling me there are people on those motherships?”

Bennewitz nods. “It all gets back to the May 1954 treaty that Ike signed with the Grays at Holloman Air Force Base.” He scoffs. “That treaty screwed us a lot more than we ever could have known.”

Mark speaks up too. “Pretty much tied the hands of the Andromedan Council. After that there was nothing the benevolent alien races could do to take a more active role in our evolution. In effect, it’s placed the burden squarely on the shoulders of humanity to enlighten itself. It’d be our task to create ascension on an individual basis. From that point on, outside help has been unavailable to us.”

“What’s worse is how badly we fell for it, for what the Grays were selling,” Bennewitz says. “At the time of the Holloman agreement we had an exchange of military personnel with the Grays, giving over 16 of our men so they could travel to the Gray’s home world.” He shakes his head and makes a fist, and Turn can see his face quivering in anger. “It was all a lie, though. According to what that Andromedans told us later, it was really 109 humans that were taken… and not to Zeta Reticuli where the Grays are from, but to some of the motherships they’ve got parked behind our solar system’s planets!”

Mark nods. “Some even got taken to the alien bases on Mar’s second moon, Phobos.”

“What happened to them?” Turn asks after Mark pauses.

“They were experimented on,” Mark says, “the same as all those we found down in Dulce.”

“They were the first,” Bennewitz says, “and after that taste, the Grays couldn’t get enough.” He looks up at Mark. “What’d your dad say over the radio… 30,000 captives were down in Dulce when we attacked it? My God!”

“So this isn’t just a search and destroy mission,” Turn says, “it’s a rescue mission too.”

“If it can turn into that, so much the better,” Mark says.

“Whoa, rescue mission?” Heather says. “How are we gonna rescue 109 people — if that many are even still alive — in this dinky little ship?”

Mark laughs. “Remember how I said I could fly anything, even a bathtub with wings?” There are some groans from the back to that. “Well, the same holds true for these Gray motherships.”

“Oh, you’ve got to be kidding!” Heather says. “A mothership?

“Where the hell would you even land something that size,” Turn says. “What is it, about the size of a football field?”

“More like the size of New Hampshire.”

New Hampshire!” Heather says.

“Oh, c’mon, Mark… it’s not that big,” Bennewitz says, shrugging. “Rhode Island, maybe.”

“Where the hell you gonna land a spaceship the size of a state?” Turn says, his eyes wide and incredulous.

“Yeah, the White House lawn won’t exactly do, Mark,” Bennewitz says. “What exactly did you have in mind?”

Mark glances back to look at Bennewitz. “You’ve been keeping up on the news in 1979… where are those SALT II talks happening?”

“Vienna, but… Mark, no… no, Mark, just no.”
