Авторы «Новой хронологии» неоднократно подчеркивают, что все их результаты базируются на мощном фундаменте современных математических методов. Математические результаты авторов, обнаруживающие хронологические сдвиги и параллели, обладают с их точки зрения, абсолютной статистической достоверностью. Такого рода заявления вызывают у читателей, привыкших уважать математику, невольное и глубокое доверие. И даже если исторические выводы «Новой хронологии» им могут показаться чересчур смелыми, математическая основа работы укрепляет читателей во мнении, что «в этом что-то есть».
