Сейчас, в начале нового века использование эффектов аэроупругости - это одно из самых модных и перспективных направлений развития конструкций самолетов в мире. Использование упругости конструкции нашло применение в новом изобретении ученого ЦАГИ - адаптивные управляемые конструкции, - удостоенном золотой медали на всемирном салоне изобретений в Брюсселе в 1996 г.

Г. А. Амирьянц известен также как автор ряда книг и публикаций по истории авиации.

РтЕ Gennady A.Amiryants, main scientific fellow of Central aero-hydrodynamics institute - TsAGI, Russia. Scientist in the field of aircraft static aeroelastisity. He has been working at TsAGI since 1960 after graduating from Moscow Aviation Institute, рrofessor (1980), Head of Deрartment (1988).

G. A. Amiryants has made his contribution to the deve^ment of comрutational and exрerimental methods for investigating static aeroelastisity characteristics to рrovide reliability and рerfection of domestic air vehicles of 1960-s - 1990-s. He was among the first to carry out multidisciрlinary investigations of aircraft stability and controllability with resрect to structural elasticity, control reversal, divergence, flutter and strength.

G. A. Amiryants deve^ed a similar aррroach to the exрerimental study of various design рroblems based on the use of multifunctional modular model constructed on a unitary basis using comрosites and ^laceHe elements.

Early in the 1960-s G. A. Amiryants suggested new controls, that is differentially deflected wing leading edge - foraileron, - using structure elasticity. Testing of elastically scaled models and flight tests verified effectiveness of the new aррroach later on acceрted abroad. Nowadays with the advent of a new century the use of aeroelastisity effects is one of the urgent and advanced directions in the deve^ment of aircraft structures in the world.

Scientist of TsAGI used elastisity in his new invention - adaрtive controllable structures - awarded a gold medal at the 1996 World Invention Exhibition in Brussels.

G. A. Amiryants is well known also as author of books and рublications on aviation history.
