Мировая астрология

Хотя мы в великом долгу перед арабскими учеными за их переводы и сохранение греческих и римских астрологических текстов, проникших в Европу в одиннадцатом и двенадцатом столетиях, но мы не можем ограничиться столь эгоцентрической оценкой исламской астрологии. Видеть в арабском мире лишь переносчика более ранних астрологических знаний, значит игнорировать большую часть арабских знаний. Но в полном объеме их невозможно охватить, пока не переведено огромное количество астрологических трудов с арабского, персидского и турецкого; в настоящее время они лежат нетронутыми в коллекциях музеев по всему миру. Грустно сознавать, что даже знаменитые труды недоступны в переводе, не говоря уже о трудах менее известных ученых. Но можно надеяться, что со временем состояние дел улучшится.
