Guilty Bonds, says anthologist Martin H. Englishman Frank Burgoyne, newly rich through inheritance, falls madly and improbably in love with a beautiful but mysterious Russian woman Vera Seroff and becomes unwittingly and unknowingly embroiled in an international plot punctuated by a series of murders. Burgoyne suffers several bewildering experiences, including incarcerations in Russia and England, and he is constantly questioning his love's motivations and fealty.
