Dear Sir or Madam,
I have read your advertisement published in The Student News on April 5th and I am writing to apply for a scholarship to attend an English language course at your college this summer.
I am a sixteen-year-old student and I have been learning English for eight years. I have passed the FCE examination in December with excellent results.
I want to study in Britain because it is the best way to improve my speaking skills. I believe I would make the most of the opportunity to attend an English course because I am very motivated and hard-working.
I wonder if you could tell me how many hours per week I would be expected to study and whether you provide any accommodation.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
Anna BelovaTask 6.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to apply for the job of waiter on your Mediterranean cruise ships, which was advertised in The Local News yesterday. I love the idea of going on a cruise and I feel I am just the person you need.
I am a nineteen-year-old student at Sochi College of Food. I worked as a waiter in a local bar last summer and I am interested in getting some experience of working for a foreign company.
I speak fluent English and I am quite a cheerful person with a good sense of humour. I also think that I am hard-working and reliable.
I wonder if you could tell me what salary I could expect to have and whether the food on board is free of charge.
I look forward to hearing from you.
Yours faithfully,
