Rough hands seized her (грубые руки схватили ее), she was jerked to her feet (резким движением поставили на ноги; to jerk – резко толкать, дергать), and dragged with scream on scream (и потащили с криками) to where John Sharkey awaited her (туда, где ее ждал Джон Шарки).
