Точно так же, как космос больше, чем мы когда-либо воображали, мы сами нечто большее, нежели могли интуитивно представить с помощью самоанализа. Сейчас мы улавливаем первые отблески бесконечности внутреннего пространства. Этот внутренний скрытый глубокий космос распоряжается собственными целями, устремлениями и логикой. Мозг — это орган, который ощущается чуждым и далеким для нас, и тем не менее подробные схемы его проводки создают ландшафт наших внутренних жизней. Каким озадачивающим шедевром является мозг! И как здорово, что у нашего поколения есть технологии и желание обратить свое внимание на него. Он самая поразительная вещь, обнаруженная нами во Вселенной, и он — это мы.
