Вавилонский эпос, повествующий о сотворении мира. Чтением «Энума элиш» отмечали новолетие.

ЯХВЕ

Имя Бога израильтян. Вероятно, первоначально Яхве был божеством другого народа, позднее ассимилированным евреями благодаря деятельности Моисея. В III–II вв. до н. э. иудеи перестали произносить вслух Священное Имя YHVH.
