Инфляция и значительные колебания цен затрудняют расчеты и снижают точность наших оценок. Генрих VIII заплатил 4 фунта за 2 акра земли, чтобы расширить Малый парк в Виндзоре. В то же время жалованье садовников составляло от 4 до 12 фунтов в год в зависимости от местности. Главные сокольничие получали 10 фунтов в год.
