Можно долго перечислять, что необходимо сделать в борьбе с новой идеологией, которая загоняет человечество в ловушку полного социально-экономического контроля. И контроль над народонаселением играет здесь первостепенную роль, главным образом потому, что изучается данный процесс слабо, критике не подвергается, а зачастую проходит и вовсе незамеченным.

Люди, считающие такое развитие событий желательным, могут радоваться, ибо все происходит быстро и почти не встречает сопротивления. Верящие, что человек создает себя сам, занимаясь «самоактуализацией» и освобождаясь, наконец, «от древних предрассудков, не нужных в современную технологическую эпоху», имеют все основания для торжества. Они оседлали гребень мощной волны, накат которой обозначился более века тому назад в теориях Мальтуса, Дарвина, Маркса, Спенсера, Гальтона и Пирсона.

Однако люди, которые по-прежнему верят в вечные истины, не должны впадать в отчаяние. Они могут оказаться в положении тех, кто с такой же грустью и жалостью смотрел на последние, роскошные отблески других умирающих культур. Им, этим людям, может быть, суждено уцелеть. И уцелев, сохранить истинные достижения цивилизации, покорно приносящей себя в жертву.
