"The trees seem to have made up their minds to fight us, and stop our journey," remarked the Lion.

But the Woodman promptly chopped off the branch (но Дровосек поспешно срубил эту ветку) and set the little dog free (и освободил маленького песика).

"What shall we do now (что же нам теперь делать)?" asked Dorothy.

"I will make a ladder (я сделаю лестницу)," said the Tin Woodman, "for we certainly must climb over the wall (потому что нам обязательно нужно перелезть через эту стену)."
