But the Tree cried to the Nightingale (но Куст кричал Соловью; to cry) to press closer against the thorn (/чтобы тот/ прижался еще ближе к шипу; to press — жать, нажимать; прижимать, close — близко). “Press closer, little Nightingale (прижмись ближе = сильнее, маленький Соловей),” cried the Tree (кричал /Розовый/ Куст), “or the Day will come (не то День придет = наступит) before the rose is finished (до того, как роза будет завершена; to finish — кончать; завершать).”
