His hair and beard were dyed with rose-leaves (его волосы и борода были окрашены розовыми лепестками), and his cheeks were powdered (и его щеки были напудрены) with a fine gold dust (мелкой золотой пылью). The palms of his feet and hands (его ступни и ладони: «ладони его ног и рук») were yellow with saffron (были желтыми от шафрана).
