An irrepressible tremour gradually pervaded my frame (неодолимая дрожь постепенно охватила мое тело; frame – рама; тело, оболочка); and, at length, there sat upon my very heart an incubus of utterly causeless alarm (и, наконец, уселся на самом моем сердце инкуб совершенно беспричинной тревоги).
