Конец времен. Элиты, контрэлиты и путь политического распада

Там, где нет инсайдерской информации, мы возвращаемся к определению повестки группы по последствиям ее действий. Однако с практической точки зрения всегда полезно начинать с предположения, что группа будет преследовать материальные интересы своих членов. Те, кто утверждает обратное – что группа ведет себя просоциально в интересах общества в целом или даже всего человечества, – должны приложить дополнительные усилия, чтобы доказать, что они не дурят нам головы. А когда группа поступает вразрез со своими интересами, поскольку ее члены введены в заблуждение пропагандой, нам тоже нужны доказательства, подтверждающие такое утверждение. Эта позиция может показаться моим читателям циничной, но я считаю ее достойной исследовательской программой. Я не утверждаю, что люди всегда действуют в своих интересах (этому вопросу посвящена моя книга «Ультраобщество»). Но при исследовании групп интересов (а не отдельных лиц), в особенности элиты, я использую именно тот подход, который описан в настоящей книге.
