В разговорной речи вместо предложений такого типа употребляются сложноподчиненные предложения с дополнительными придаточными предложениями, например:
(1) Most people supposed (that) he was innocent.
(2) They proved (that) he was wrong.
(3) Do you think he’s a good worker?
(7) All the neighbours supposed (that) she was a widow.
(8) They’ve proved that they’re worthy of promotion.
Обратите внимание на следующие конструкции с пассивом, соответствующие некоторым примерам из таблицы № 6:
(1) What he said is considered to be of little importance.
(6) Are such inquiries believed to be useful?
(9) Не was reported to be the best man for the job.
(12) The plan was felt (seen) to be unwise.
(15) The man was known to have been a spy.
