Статья рассматривает различные варианты легенд об основании шотландской Дал Риаты и обращает особое внимание на изложенную в «Истории народа скоттов» легенду. Определяя пути влияния ирландских легенд («О семени Конайре» и «О сыновьях Конайре») на содержание «Истории», автор показывает, каким образом эти предания были адаптированы в ее новой версии.

THE GAELS OF THE SCOTTISH DAL RIATA: METAMORPHOSES OF AN ETHNIC SCENARIO

This paper verifies different versions of the foundation myth of the Scottish Dal Riata with a particular reference to the legend developed in Senchus Fer n-Alban. It traces the influence of the Irish legends (De Moccaib Conaire and De Sil Chonairi Mór) on Senchus and lays special emphasis on their adaptation in the newly articulated foundation story of Dal Riata.
