There were some other articles (там были еще и другие пункты), but these are the most important ones (но эти — самые существенные). Most of the Ministers were against me (большинство министров были /настроены/ против меня), but His Majesty wanted to treat me more kindly (но его величество желал обойтись со мною более мягко; kindly — доброжелательно; благоприятно, мягко) and to spare my life (и сохранить мою = мне жизнь; to spare — беречь, жалеть, сберегать; щадить).
