Так как в данной статье предпринимается попытка обсуждения работы Фрейда "Заметки о любви в переносе" с точки зрения амэ, мне вначале придется объяснить, что такое амэ[62] Итак, амэ — японское слово, обозначающее "потакающую зависимость", оно описывает, главным образом, что испытывает младенец, когда ищет свою мать. Интересно, что этот термин также может применяться по отношению к взрослому, когда тот, предположительно, питает сходное чувство эмоциональной близости к другому человеку. Другими словами, что касается амэ, существует континуум между детьми и взрослыми. В случае взрослого можно, по размышлении, признавать или не признавать амэ индивида в зависимости от обстоятельств.
