And Glooskap, rising high as a giant pine (поднявшись ввысь, словно гигантская сосна), caught the chief in his hand (подхватил вождя в свою руку; to catch — ловить) and crumpled in his back with a mighty grip (и смял его спину могучим захватом). And lo (и гляди-ка)! it was the Bull-Frog (это был /всего-то/ Лягушка-Бык). So he hurled him with contempt into the stream (поэтому он швырнул его с презрением в поток), to follow the current (чтобы его унесло течением: «/чтобы он/ последовал за течением»).
