And the other children (и другие дети), when they saw (когда они увидели) that the Giant was not wicked any longer (что Великан больше не был злым), came running back (они прибежали назад), and with them came the Spring (и с ними вернулась: «пришла» Весна). “It is your garden now, little children (теперь это ваш сад, малыши: «маленькие дети»),” said the Giant, and he took a great axe (и он взял огромный топор) and knocked down the wall (и снес стену). “We don’t know (мы не знаем),” answered the children (ответили дети); “he has gone away (он ушел/пропал; to go (went, gone)).”

“You must tell him (вы должны сказать ему) to be sure and come here to-morrow (чтобы он обязательно/непременно пришел сюда завтра; sure — уверенный; обязательный),” said the Giant. But the children said (но дети сказали) that they did not know (что они не знают) where he lived (где он живет), and had never seen him before (и что /они/ никогда не видели его раньше); and the Giant felt very sad (и Великан сильно загрустил; to feel (felt) — трогать; чувствовать, to feel + прилагательное — быть в каком-либо состоянии, чувствовать себя; sad — печальный, грустный).
