2d (second = вторая /проблема/). Suppose there were a great big hollow sphere made of looking-glass (предположим, что существовала бы большая полая зеркальная сфера: «сфера, сделанная из зеркала») and you were sitting inside (и вы бы сидели внутри нее). Where would it stop reflecting your face (в каком месте зеркало перестанет отражать лицо) and begin reflecting your back (и начнет отражать затылок; back — спина; задняя, тыльная часть /чего-либо/; back of the head — затылок)? Did I ever tell you about the election (говорила ли я вам о выборах)? It happened three weeks ago (они произошли три недели назад), but so fast do we live (но мы живем так стремительно; fast — скорый, быстрый), that three weeks is ancient history (что три недели — это уже древняя история).
