Gold Stick is very complimentary (золотая палка /звучит/ очень лестно; complimentary — поздравительный, похвальный, compliment — комплимент, любезность). In fact, he mistakes me (он /по ошибке/ принимает меня; to mistake — ошибаться; принимать за другого) for one of the Court dignitaries (за одного из придворных сановников)!'
