Before he knew where he was, Piglet was in the bath (не успел Пятачок оглянуться / опомниться: «прежде чем он знал, где он был», как /он/ оказался в ванне), and Kanga was scrubbing him firmly with a large lathery flannel (а Кенга сильно скребла его большой намыленной мочалкой;

“Don't open the mouth, dear (не открывай рот, дорогой), or the soap goes in,” said Kanga (не то мыло попадет вовнутрь, — сказала Кенга). “There (ну, вот)! What did I tell you (что я тебе говорила)?”
