`BAD Rocket? BAD Rocket?' he said as he whirled through the air; `impossible! GRAND Rocket, that is what the man said. BAD and GRAND sound very much the same, indeed they often are the same;' and he fell into the mud.

`It is not comfortable here,' he remarked, `but no doubt it is some fashionable watering-place, and they have sent me away to recruit my health. My nerves are certainly very much shattered, and I require rest.'

Then a little Frog (затем маленькая Лягушка), with bright jewelled eyes (с яркими/блестящими, как алмазы, глазами; jewel — драгоценный камень, бриллиант, jewelled — украшенный драгоценностями), and a green mottled coat (и в крапчатом зеленом одеянии; mottle — крапинка, пятнышко; coat — пиджак, верхняя одежда, покров), swam up to him (подплыла к нему; to swim (swam, swum) — плавать, купаться).

`A new arrival, I see (/новая/ вновь прибывшая, ясно; arrival — приезд, прибытие; вновь прибывший; to see — видеть; понимать)! said the Frog (сказала Лягушка). `Well, after all (ну, в конце концов) there is nothing like mud (ничто не сравнится с грязью = нет ничего лучше грязи). Give me rainy weather and a ditch (дайте мне = мне бы дождливую погоду и канаву), and I am quite happy (вот я и вполне счастлива). Do you think it will be a wet afternoon (как вы думаете, день будет дождливым; wet — мокрый, влажный; дождливый)? I am sure I hope so (я уверена/убеждена, надеюсь на это = я, конечно, надеюсь на это), but the sky is quite blue and cloudless (но небо совершенно синее и безоблачное; cloud — облако, туча). `Ahem (гм)! ahem!' said the Rocket, and he began to cough (и она начала кашлять).

`Ahem! ahem!' said the Rocket, and he began to cough.
