Lombard said softly: "Feeding time at the Zoo!	- В зверинце начинается обед, - заметил Ломбард.
The animals are very regular in their habits!"	- Звери привыкли получать пищу в определенные часы.
Vera said anxiously: "Isn't it very risky, what he's doing?"	- Как вы думаете, Блор очень рискует? -забеспокоилась Вера.
"In a sense you mean - no, I don't think it is! Armstrong's not armed, you know, and anyway Blore is twice a match for him in physique and he's very much on his guard.	- По-моему, особой опасности здесь нет: у Армстронга нет оружия, Блор раза в два его сильнее, и, кроме того, он начеку.
And anyway it's a sheer impossibility that Armstrong can be in the house.	И потом, Армстронг просто не может там быть.
I know he's not there."	Более того, я уверен, что его там нет.

Philip said softly: "There's Blore."	- Значит, это Блор, - сказал Филипп.

You've got to admit that if it's true, I can't possibly have had anything to do with Armstrong's disappearance.	Если Блор не врал, я непричастен к исчезновению Армстронга.
His story clears me.	Его рассказ обеляет меня.
But it doesn't clear him.	Но не его.
We've only his word for it that he heard footsteps and saw a man going downstairs and out at the front door.	Он утверждает, что услышал шаги и увидел человека, вышедшего из дому.
