[53] Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.	Иисус же сказал им: истинно, истинно говорю вам: если не будете есть Плоти Сына Человеческого и пить Крови Его, то не будете иметь в себе жизни.
[54] Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.	Ядущий Мою Плоть и пиющий Мою Кровь имеет жизнь вечную, и Я воскрешу его в последний день.
[55] For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.	Ибо Плоть Моя истинно есть пища, и Кровь Моя истинно есть питие.
[56] He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.	Ядущий Мою Плоть и пиющий Мою Кровь пребывает во Мне, и Я в нем.
[57] As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father: so he that eateth me, even he shall live by me.	Как послал Меня живый Отец, и Я живу Отцом, так и ядущий Меня жить будет Мною.
[58] This is that bread which came down from heaven: not as your fathers did eat manna, and are dead: he that eateth of this bread shall live for ever.	Сей-то есть хлеб, сшедший с небес. Не так, как отцы ваши ели манну и умерли: ядущий хлеб сей жить будет вовек.
[59] These things said he in the synagogue, as he taught in Capernaum.	Сие говорил Он в синагоге, уча в Капернауме.
[60] Many therefore of his disciples, when they had heard this, said, This is an hard saying; who can hear it?	Многие из учеников Его, слыша то, говорили: какие странные слова! кто может это слушать?
[61] When Jesus knew in himself that his disciples murmured at it, he said unto them, Doth this offend you?	Но Иисус, зная Сам в Себе, что ученики Его ропщут на то, сказал им: это ли соблазняет вас?
[62] What and if ye shall see the Son of man ascend up where he was before?	Что ж, если увидите Сына Человеческого восходящего туда, где был прежде?
[63] It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.	Дух животворит; плоть не пользует нимало. Слова, которые говорю Я вам, суть дух и жизнь.
[64] But there are some of you that believe not.	Но есть из вас некоторые неверующие.
For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.	Ибо Иисус от начала знал, кто суть неверующие и кто предаст Его.
[65] And he said, Therefore said I unto you, that no man can come unto me, except it were given unto him of my Father.	И сказал: для того-то и говорил Я вам, что никто не может прийти ко Мне, если то не дано будет ему от Отца Моего.
[66] From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.	С этого времени многие из учеников Его отошли от Него и уже не ходили с Ним.
[67] Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?	Тогда Иисус сказал двенадцати: не хотите ли и вы отойти?
[68] Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life.	Симон Петр отвечал Ему: Господи! к кому нам идти? Ты имеешь глаголы вечной жизни:
[69] And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.	и мы уверовали и познали, что Ты Христос, Сын Бога живаго.
