Когнитивные войны в соцмедиа, массовой культуре и массовых коммуникациях

Когда Cambridge Analytica со скандалом исчезла [16–18], ее сотрудники ушли под крыло новой фирмы – Emerdata [19–21]. И эту фирму пресса встретила достаточно насторожено.

Кстати, параллельно развивалась критика метода Косински – определять сексуальную ориентацию с помощью алгоритмов [22–23]. Косински рассказывает, что долго отказывался печатать это свое исследование, откладывая его в долгий ящик [24]. И видимо не зря, поскольку оно вызвало недоверие у коллег [25–28], а также бурное негодование ЛГБТ-сообщества [29]. Так что он стал получать даже угрозы [30].

Техгиганты, достигнув высот в технологиях, попытались сделать то же самое и в области политики, конкретно – в выборах. Но тут сопротивление оказалось и больше, и серьезнее. Оно привело их уже к штрафам и законодательным ограничениям, чтобы не дать в следующий раз таким же образом нарушить приватность индивидуальной информации, как это произошло в случае Facebook.
