Ivanhoe prayed (Айвенго /стал/ молиться), and the King cursed loudly (а король выругался громко; to curse — проклинать; ругаться).

"In the name of God (во имя Бога)," said Cedric, "if you are human, speak (если ты смертный /человек/, говори; human — людской, человеческий)! Alive or dead, noble Athelstane, speak to Cedric (живой или мертвый, благородный Ательстан, говори с Седриком)!"
