Just then De Bracy arrived to see Prince John. His armour was still covered in blood and dust from the battle at Torquilstone. He took off his helmet and placed it on the table beside the Prince.
"De Bracy," exclaimed Prince John, "what has happened
(что случилось;"The Templar has gone to Templestowe
(храмовник уехал в Темплстоу)," said De Bracy, "and you will never see Front-de-Boeuf again (и вы никогда не увидите Фрон-де-Бёфа снова). His grave is in the burning ruins of his castle (его могила в горящих руинах его замка;rebel [rɪ'bel], gone [ɡɔn], grave [ɡreɪv], burning ['bǝ:nɪŋ], ruin ['ru:ɪn]
"De Bracy," exclaimed Prince John, "what has happened? Speak! Are the Saxons rebelling against us? Where is the Templar? Where is Front-de-Boeuf?"
"The Templar has gone to Templestowe," said De Bracy, "and you will never see Front-de-Boeuf again. His grave is in the burning ruins of his castle. I alone have escaped to come and tell you this. But the worst news is still to come. Richard is in England, and I have seen and spoken to him."
"You are mad, De Bracy
(ты сошел с ума, де Браси)," exclaimed Fitzurse. "That cannot be (этого не может быть)!""There were only some outlaws with him
(только несколько разбойников было вместе с ним), and even they don't know who he is (и даже они не знают, кто он такой)," answered De Bracy. "I heard him say (я слышал, как он сказал) that he had to leave them, though (что он должен покинуть их, однако). He only joined them (он единственно присоединился к ним = он присоединился к ним только для того;heard [hǝ:d], though [ðǝʋ], join [dʒɔɪn]
"You are mad, De Bracy," exclaimed Fitzurse. "That cannot be!"
"There were only some outlaws with him, and even they don't know who he is," answered De Bracy. "I heard him say that he had to leave them, though. He only joined them to help them attack Torquilstone."
"What are you going to do
(что ты собираешься делать)?" asked Fitzurse."I? I am leaving for France at once
(я уезжаю во Францию немедленно;"My good lords
(мои добрые господа = друзья)," cried Prince John. "As soon as Richard returns (как только Ричард возвращается), you all leave me (вы все бросаете меня; tolord [lɔ:d], return [rɪ'tǝ:n], close [klǝʋs]
"What are you going to do?" asked Fitzurse.
"I? I am leaving for France at once."
"My good lords," cried Prince John. "As soon as Richard returns, you all leave me. And we are so close to winning everything now!"
