"That man is the only one of them all whom I could have made my friend.	"Вот бы с кем подружиться, - подумал он ещё.
But his planet is indeed too small.	- Но его планетка уж очень крохотная.
There is no room on it for two people..."	Там нет места для двоих..."
What the little prince did not dare confess was that he was sorry most of all to leave this planet, because it was blest every day with 1440 sunsets!	Он не смел себе признаться в том, что больше всего жалеет об этой чудесной планетке ещё по одной причине: за двадцать четыре часа на ней можно любоваться закатом тысячу четыреста сорок раз!

The sixth planet was ten times larger than the last one.	Шестая планета была в десять раз больше предыдущей.
It was inhabited by an old gentleman who wrote voluminous books.	На ней жил старик, который писал толстенные книги.
"Oh, look!	- Смотрите-ка!
Here is an explorer!" he exclaimed to himself when he saw the little prince coming.	Вот прибыл путешественник! - воскликнул он, заметив Маленького принца.
The little prince sat down on the table and panted a little.	Маленький принц сел на стол, чтобы отдышаться.
He had already traveled so much and so far!	Он уже столько странствовал!
"Where do you come from?" the old gentleman said to him.	- Откуда ты? - спросил старик.
"What is that big book?" said the little prince.	- Что это за огромная книга? - спросил Маленький принц.
"What are you doing?"	- Что вы здесь делаете?
"I am a geographer," said the old gentleman.	- Я географ, - ответил старик.
"What is a geographer?" asked the little prince.	- А что такое географ?
"A geographer is a scholar who knows the location of all the seas, rivers, towns, mountains, and deserts."	- Это ученый, который знает, где находятся моря, реки, города, горы и пустыни.
"That is very interesting," said the little prince.	- Как интересно! - сказал Маленький принц.
"Here at last is a man who has a real profession!"	- Вот это настоящее дело!
And he cast a look around him at the planet of the geographer.	И он окинул взглядом планету географа.
It was the most magnificent and stately planet that he had ever seen.	Никогда еще он не видал такой величественной планеты.
"Your planet is very beautiful," he said.	- Ваша планета очень красивая, - сказал он.
"Has it any oceans?"	- А океаны у вас есть?
"I couldn't tell you," said the geographer.	- Этого я не знаю, - сказал географ.
"Ah!" The little prince was disappointed.	- О-о... - разочарованно протянул Маленький принц.
