Harry simply loved good clothes, had done ever since he was a teenager. These were the best. Cut from dove-grey material, the suit jacket had strange writing on the inside pocket. Tiny letters in English described it as made in Japan, of a “space-age” blend of synthetics with silk. It was soft, finely woven, and emanated a gentle sheen. The shirt was of very thick Egyptian cotton, in a deep, bluey white. The sky-blue tie was pure silk with a pearly lustre. Beautiful. He’d longed for clothes like these all his life.

Harry caressed the fabrics (Гарри ласково гладил материю; to caress – ласкать, гладить) as he recalled that fateful evening three days ago (вспоминая тот судьбоносный вечер три дня назад).
