He has ridden up to Jerusalem on an ass, with a multitude before and behind; and some, poor dupes, have hailed him as he passed as King of Israel.	Он въехал в Иерусалим на осле, предшествуемый и сопровождаемый толпами, и некоторые глупцы приветствовали его царем израильским.

Miriam shook her head.	Мириам покачала головой.
"Hanan will attend to that.	-- Об этом позаботится Ханан!
They will bring him before the Sanhedrim.	Они приведут его в синедрион.
The sentence will be death.	И приговор будет -- смерть.
They may stone him."	Вероятно, его побьют камнями.
"But the Sanhedrim has not the right to execute," I contended.	-- Но синедрион не имеет права казнить!
